Oh, Baby!

Newborn babies are some of our favorite subjects here at Ivy Impressions.

During a newborn session, baby is the boss. Oftentimes they sleep, sometimes they are wide awake for the entire portrait session. Usually, they demand to be fed at least once or twice during a session, and that is just fine.

Your baby's first portraits are best done before he or she is two weeks old. Newborn portrait sessions last 2-3 hours, during which we capture lots of baby doing what babies do (looking adorable!) along with some lifestyle shots of the new parents and siblings with baby.

We give our newborn clients a little homework...we ask that the day of your session you have ready some special blankets, quilts, pillows, lovies, outfits or anything else you'd like to see included in your images. This makes your baby's first portraits personal and unique to your family. Other than that, the new parents can sit back and relax a bit during your baby's session...when I'll be holding and snuggling your newest family member!
